About
Chainarong Athisakul is an Associate Professor in Civil Engineering. He obtained a PhD in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. He was the director of the civil engineering technology program from 2012-2014. His focused research area is on Structural Mechanics, 3-D Laser scanning technology, Monitoring of Historic Structures, Seismic Design of buildings, Offshore Structures, and Mechanics of flexible structures such as cable and marine risers. He has experience in full-scale testing of structural components and structural assessment using the terrestrial laser scanner. His work has involved many research projects granted by the Thailand Research Fund, National Research Council of Thailand, Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), The Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO), Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning, and The Fine Arts Department.
