Executive summary

Project Info / Background

This initiative was a response to the urgent need for safer healthcare environments during the COVID19 outbreak. The HDL team recognized that many healthcare workers faced increased risks due to inadequate protective measures during patient interactions, especially in outdoor or semioutdoor settings.

Project detail

Process

The team designed screening stations that were installed outside hospitals. These structures utilized positive air pressure systems to prevent the spread of infectious particles, offering additional protection for medical staff. The design was functional, easy to deploy, and adaptable to various outdoor settings.

Conclusion

The project successfully led to the installation of multiple screening stations at hospitals, significantly improving the safety of healthcare operations. These stations were designed not only for immediate pandemic use but also for longterm applications, such as in respiratory infection clinics postpandemic
