Executive summary

Objective

The aims of this research were to find ink management for proofing with as quality as the inks of gravure printer on polyethylene terephthalate film and to compare the quality of proofing pre and post adjust CMYK profile with gravure printings.

Project detail

Process

The experiment was set by adjusting CMYK ink profile to compare the quality of printings. Then, adjusting the viscosity suitable for proofing subsequently, proofing comparison between pre and post adjustment of CMYK profile.

Result

Post adjustment of CMYK ink profile found that the coordinates CIELAB value (CIE L a b ) of color, the color different (Delta E) and the color gamut quality grain screen were more closely to the gravure printings than the pre CMYK profile adjustment.
