Project Info / Background

The Lighting Research and Innovation Center (LRIC) at KMUTT organized a collaborative online workshop with APEC on June 89, 2021. The event aimed to promote energy efficiency and sustainability, fostering collaboration between universities and policymakers in APEC economies.

Framework

The framework of the LRIC and APEC lighting workshop focuses on promoting energyefficient and sustainable lighting technologies. It builds a collaborative platform where universities, researchers, and policymakers from APEC economies exchange knowledge and experience. The key areas of focus include sharing case studies of successful lighting and energy projects, exploring innovative ideas for renewable energy in lighting, and discussing practical and policylevel interventions. The workshop emphasizes regional cooperation to meet APECs energy efficiency targets.

Result

With 65 participants from 17 APEC member economies, the workshop featured discussions on successful projects and explored ideas for future renewable energy initiatives. It highlighted the importance of crossborder collaboration in achieving APECs energy goals.
