Process
The workshop, Happy Cities: A New Model for Designing New Urban Areas, brought together experts and participants from KMUTTs School of Architecture and Design, Harvard University, Chulalongkorn University, and Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited. Over the course of the workshop, participants engaged in collaborative design exercises, discussions, and presentations to explore and develop innovative approaches to urban planning. This interdisciplinary process aimed to fuse diverse perspectives and expertise to create effective solutions for happier and more sustainable urban environments.
Result
The workshop resulted in the development of a new urban design model that integrates principles of happiness and sustainability into urban planning. Key outputs included a comprehensive set of recommendations and strategies for creating urban areas that enhance residents' quality of life while promoting environmental stewardship. These insights are intended to guide future urban development projects and contribute to more livable and resilient cities.
